Shooter | First Time Watching | Movie Reaction #markwahlberg #katemara
Hey, just found your channel. Here’s a movie that not many people do a reaction to Supervolcano Yellowstone it is a full two hour almost like a documentary style movie of what happened if Yellowstone Supervolcano went off
Great reaction man, great courtroom drama. As a black man this movie still is difficult to watch, some parts. Sad. Great screenplay and acting. Courtroom dramas my favorites a few good men, oh and The exorcism of Emily Rose. Yes is kinda creepy Also, mostly courtroom. 👏👏😊
I love Ed Norton. This is one of his best.
The Verdict is a great courtroom drama with Paul Newman.
A Few Good Men is a great courtroom drama if you haven't reacted to it
I love this movie so much!!
Movie, great. Book, even better. Read it. You'll be glad you did.
One of my favorite courtroom movies. Fantastic casting. I can't get past the gratuitous use of baby oil. I know it's hot in the South, but they had to have at least a ceiling fan.
You should watch Dead Man Walking and obviously Erin Brockovich (if you haven't already)
This was filmed in the mid 90's in Canton MS. Samuel Jackson was staying in the neighboring city that I lived in during filming. Met him a few times when he would shop at the grocery store I worked at in the evenings. He was very nice even took pictures with us and signed autographs.
Kevin Spacey was such a fantastic actor. Too bad his private actions destroyed his life and career. I’m glad his victims are thriving. Pray for all.
So many known names in this movie! 😮
Inherit the Wind (1960)
ok so this may be a silly question, but I'm not from the US so: wouldn't a person with a leg prosthesis really have no clerical roles available to therm in the police department? Because that sounds mighty fishy. Also Lois Lane is an award winning investigative journalist. But also Superman's sometime GF.
BTW that guy from Hunger Games and the one from the Lost Boys are father and son. Donald and Kiefer Sutherland
Just subscribe because love your reaction.🇬🇧🇺🇸
Great reaction.
Please react to _The Verdict,_ directed by Sidney Lumet (who directed _12 Angry Men),_ written by David Mamet, and starring Paul Newman. It was nominated for 5 Oscars including Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Picture, and Best Supporting Actor (James Mason). The cast includes Jack Warden, the juror in _12 Angry Men_ in a hurry to get to a ball game. Although not courtroom dramas there are two other movies directed by Sidney Lumet that I hope you will react to: _Deathtrap_ (1982) starring Christopher Reeve & Michael Caine, and _A Stranger Among Us_ (1992) starring Melanie Griffith. The former is a comedy-drama thriller about a murder plot, and the latter is a murder mystery in the same vein as _Witness_ starring Harrison Ford & Kelly McGillis.
I really liked that the director of the mental institution was Dr. Chilton from "The Silence of the Lambs"! 😄 For a courtroom drama I'd recommend "12 Angry Men". Both versions from 1957 with Henry Fonda and from 1997 with Jack Lemmon are great.
I asked my husband today what his fave childhood movies were so I could get them as part of a nostalgia thing, and he said he didn't know there wasn't much on the three channels he had to watch. lmao That was the 70s, though, none of us had more than that in the country. I had kind of forgotten this movie. I love it. Thank you for reminding me of it! Great reaction as always.
Despite my sympathy, I can't condone vigilante justice. Would I convict and impose a life sentence (never mind the death penalty)? No. Would I convict and impose a penalty of a few years? Probably.
You want a courtroom drama watch And justice for all, Al Pacino Jack Warden 1979 Explosive ending!
The Judge was the King in" Braveheart "
11:02 that is a Southerland and his real daddy is th one tht played in hunger games as president. He also plyed in the original MASH Movie back in early 70's
Keefer Sunderland and Donald
Last thing, I swear, but another amazing courtroom movie that this reminds me of is Ghosts of Mississippi, which is an absolutely true story of how a scumbag who shot civil rights leader Medgar Evers in his driveway in front of his kids. The racist of course was tried and had two hung juries (second one the Governor shook his hand in front of the jury) - no shock as Mississippi didn't allow Blacks to register to vote starting back in 1890, so of course they also weren't on juries. They brought him to trial in basically an unprecedented situation 30 years later because Medgar's widow, Myrlie Evers, wouldn't let it drop and a state prosecutor, Bobby DeLaughter (Alec Baldwin), took up the case when it was STILL very unpopular in the 1990s. Great story, great movie, and even the guy who plays the villain (James Woods) gave a chillingly good performance. RIP Medgar Evers.
This movie does have a stacked cast, obviously the main three of Matthew, Samuel, and Sandra....but the guy you recognized in the car with Matthew at the beginning is Oliver Platt, and he has a long list of amazing rolls. Then Kevin Spacey of course, though Pay it Forward isn't his best movie...and you probably know him from Seven (think you've watched that) and his best performance/movie to me was American Beauty (Oscar win). Hell, I haven't even gotten deep enough into this cast - Charles Dutton (arresting sheriff), Kiefer Sutherland, more importantly to me was his dad, Donald Sutherland (RIP just a few days ago), Ashley Judd, and even Chris Cooper (the "You turn him loose" officer - who ALSO was in American Beauty in another stellar performance).
Not the best courtroom drama, no nuance, no subtlety, bad guys acting like caricatures, poorly written characters and situations and a climactic summation that ask the jurors to imagine if the victim was white, which makes the final verdict rather problematic as far as racism goes.... Akiva Goldman is a rather lousy writer and what saves the film is Jackson"s terrific performance
Also knowing this movie and my depressive thoughts this really probably isn't the best movie to watch - but it's so damn brilliant. Also you absolutely should still read this book (and most other John Grisham books) because there are always things missed in adaptations and so worth reading them.
Just wanted to drop a quick thank you for your acknowledgment and compassion for mental health and reinforcing we matter. Have been having a terribly self-destructive leaning day today and that really helped. Love your channel as always.
Please don't use the word 'colored' for black people.
Such a good movie. Donald and Kieffer Sutherland in the same movie. Did you recognize the one psychiatrist is the same guy who played the main psychiatrist in Silence Of The Lambs. Since this movie deals with racism, makes me think of three other movies with racism at its core you should watch are. Mississippi Burning, American History X (I suggested it last time) and Betrayed from 1988. Stars Tom Berringer from Pkatoon and a bunch of others.
Not necessarily a courtroom dram, more comedish, but My Cousin Vinny is a movie you will enjoy. Not nearly as heavy.
12 Angry Men is a must. It's one of AFI's top 100 movies of all-time and the cinematography is brilliant.
Another great courtroom drama to check out is Double Jeopardy, starring Ashley Judd. She played Mathew McConaughey’s wife in this movie. But this was a great reaction, and I absolutely thought Carl Lee should have been found innocent!! Any respectable, loving father, no matter what race he is, would do the exact same thing to protect his child.
Dr. Bass was played by M Emmet Walsh who played the shooter trying to kill Steve Martin in "The Jerk"
For great courtroom dramas: The Client, A Few Good Men, Murder in the First, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Accused, and of course, Legally Blonde.😉
If the human race spent half as much time, money and energy on being decent and helping each other as we do on ugliness and killing, we would live in a Utopia.
Now try "Ghosts of Mississippi" and "Mississippi Burning"
Best courtroom drama? …Pls consider trying ‘To Kill a Mockingbird,’ (if you don’t mind old classic films), and definitely ‘Amistad’ (well done period film by the master, Steven Spielberg)
Courtroom Movies • Sleepers • Exorcism of Emily Rose • Presumed Innocent • The Accused • Side Effects • The Client • Fracture • Disclosure
I thought Fracture was great but I didn't get the impression that a lot of people have seen it.
One of my all-time faves! This one doesn't get enough credit.
Here's the bottom line for me. I first watched this movie on a plane from New York to Tokyo; probably among the dumbest moves I've made in recent memory. I was in the bathroom for about 20 minutes just trying to compose myself again. You think you could suck it up just by getting through the scene with Marley on the Vet's table, but then they sucker punch with you a la Mike Tyson by showing the flashback montage with the theme. If the ending doesn't effect you like that, you're just not a dog person. Probably not a pet person at all for that matter.
To kill a mockingbird from book if same title Gregory pick plays Atticus finch lawyer single father great movie and YES please put pay it forward on channel I love that movie ty
And add Mississippi Burning, not a court room drama, but is a very movie!
Love thus movie and your channel you knew alot wow u come a long way from when u first started ❤ livevya
U didn't recognize one if the jerks that did this was Percy from the green mile
Please add, A few good men, The Rainmaker, both great court room dramas.
Hi Bear!
You have to read the book. Its john Grisham
